Product Introduction

[peakpod] Product image of the lightest rooftop

Unbeatable convenience for car camping!!

This is a completely new roof tent that we developed ourselves after listening to customer feedback, after previously selling conventional roof tents!

Disadvantages of conventional roof tents

Heavy weight: Typically 40-70 kg, making loading, unloading, and installation difficult.

Designed for permanent installation: Cannot be easily removed, resulting in significant fuel consumption and strain on the vehicle.

Poor storage capacity: It occupies space on the roof, so it takes up space even when not in use.

Handling requires manpower: Lifting and securing often requires two or more people.

High price: The complex structure and high cost make it difficult for beginners to afford.

PeakPod solved all of these problems!

How to

Setup and dismantling methods

Setup instructions explained in video!

The Peakpod comes with a setup kit included with your purchase.

Having an additional automatic pump makes setting up easier, especially in hot summer weather, but it is possible to set up the tent without it.

First, inflate the air mattress, and then connect it to the roof rack.

After setting up the ladder, air is injected into the air frame that will form the tent, and the assembly is complete.

*Please be careful as the airframe may spring up forcefully depending on the pressure of the air being injected.

Easy to dismantle! Suitable for both permanent installation and storage!

The Peakpod can be connected to the rooftop by releasing the air from the air frame and attaching the special cover.

For example, if you want to move your campsite while camping, you can easily move it by simply folding up the air frame instead of taking down everything else.

When storing the unit, first deflate the air frame, remove it from the rooftop, and then deflate the air mattress.

Afterward, it can be folded and stored in its dedicated storage bag, making it easy to carry and requiring minimal storage space.

The included storage bag is generously sized, so even if there's a little air left inside, you can store it with plenty of room to spare, making packing up a breeze!

Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any accidents or incidents that occur when using the product in a manner other than those described here .

1. When Traveling - When traveling with the tent attached, always check that the roof carrier, fastenings, and all other items are securely fastened before traveling. - When driving on roads or highways with the product loaded, strictly obey the legal speed limit. - When driving on mountain trails, desert terrain, or other uneven roads, maintain a speed of 30 km/h or less. - When traveling with the tent attached, deflate only the air frame, not the air mattress. - Do not travel with the roof tent open. - Remember to fasten all fastenings to prevent the roof tent from opening while driving.

2. Installation Instructions - Carefully check the maximum load capacity of the roof rails, roof carrier, and vehicle before use. - When storing the tent, make sure there are no miscellaneous items (sleeping bags, pillows, etc.) inside the tent. - After installing the tent, repeatedly check that the fixing bolts are fully tightened. - When installing the tent, make sure it is centered on the carrier.

3. After Installation - Do not perform strenuous activities on the tent. - Extend the telescopic ladder until you hear a click. - Always keep an eye on children to prevent them from falling from the roof tent. - Always secure the ladder to the D-rings on the air mattress before use. - When securing the ladder to the air mattress, be careful not to let it come into contact with the car and scratch it. - When extending or retracting the ladder, be careful not to pinch your hands.

Q&A

FAQ

We have received many inquiries from customers regarding [peakpod].

We have compiled information here that will be helpful to our customers from among the many questions we receive.

Please use this information as a reference when making your purchase.

Q: What kind of cars can it be installed on? A: A separate roof carrier is required, but it can basically be installed on any car that has one. *Please check the load capacity of each vehicle. *The roof carrier must be at least 80cm long.

Q: Do you have a dedicated tarp? A: We are currently developing one. It will be available for sale soon, so please follow our website and social media for the latest information.

Q: Will the dedicated tarp allow me to enter and exit the tent without getting wet even on rainy days? A: The tarp attaches to the entrance and side of the tent. The entrance to the tent has a skylight, allowing you to use a ladder to enter and exit.

Q: Does the tent come with a shoe pocket for storing shoes? A: Yes, it does.

Q: Won't the roof of my car get dented? A: Since it is not placed directly on the roof, it is unlikely to get dented as long as the load is below the load capacity. Even if you use it correctly, there is still a chance that it may get dented, so you should be aware that to some extent it is your own responsibility.

Q: Do I need a dedicated roof carrier? A: There is no dedicated roof carrier.

Q: If the mat is attached beforehand, you will need to pump air into the tent frame on-site. Do you (can) pump while sitting on the mat? Or do you have to stand? (It seems a little dangerous depending on where you stand.) I couldn't imagine this process, so please explain. After use, if it doesn't rain, is it okay to store it in the bag and leave it there? It's not a cheap purchase, so I'm concerned about its lifespan. A typical tent lasts 5-10 years, but this one has an air-inflating mechanism, so I imagine it will last less than that. Is there an estimated lifespan? A: Sit down on the mat, place your feet on the ladder, place the pump, and inflate it. After use, store it in the bag. As for its lifespan, I would estimate it will last 3-5 years, depending on how often you use it and how well it's maintained.

Q: When loaded onto the roof, how thick is the main body above the roof bars? I'd like a rough idea of whether it will fit into a supermarket with height restrictions. A: There is a slight bulge when the 3cm square connecting aluminum bars, 15cm air mattress, and air frame tent are folded up, so it is about 20cm. We recommend removing it and storing it when not camping.

QIs the shape of the air inlet unique? Or is it a generic one (the same shape as used for SUP, etc.)? AIt is a generic inlet.

Q: I'm considering buying a car with a roof-top tent in mind. I'd like it to be under 2100mm tall when attached to the roof, so could you please tell me the approximate size when folded, especially the height? The A-carrier will have a 3cm connecting aluminum bar, a 15cm thick air mattress, and a slight bulge of 3-5cm for the air frame.

Q: What is the interior space after deployment? A: Width: Maximum 124cm (minimum 107cm *air frame part) Length: Maximum 196cm (minimum 179cm *air frame part) Height: Maximum 110cm (minimum 60cm)

Q: Are there any measures in place to prevent the air frame from bursting due to increased air pressure caused by direct sunlight in the summer? Is there a warning in the instruction manual or something? A: The air frame has an emergency valve that will allow air to escape if the air pressure exceeds a certain level. The air mattress does not have this valve, but it has an extremely strong structure that can withstand up to 30 psi.

Q: Are all roof covers black? A: At the moment they are all black.

Q: I understand that the maximum length of the telescopic ladder is available in two options: standard (1) 206cm and desired (2) 238cm. However, when installing it in a tent, it will be installed at a slight angle, not vertically. In this case, what is the recommended height range for each of (1) and (2) to the bottom of the air mattress (i.e., the top of the car's roof rail or base carrier)? For (1), please specify XX cm to XX cm. For (2), please specify XX cm to XX cm. Thank you. A: In the end, we decided to use the long type as standard equipment. The maximum ladder length is 230cm + 8cm (hook part). The D-ring for hanging the ladder is located in the middle of the thickness of the air mattress (15cm), so it is about 7cm. We recommend using the ladder at about a 75-degree angle for safe use, so the maximum height will be about 230cm. Vehicle height + roof carrier height + 3cm + 7cm of connecting aluminum bar = maximum 230cm.

Q: When attaching to a loop carrier, it says to use D-rings. How many D-rings are there? How many tie-down points are there when attaching to a loop carrier and traveling? I'd appreciate it if you could tell me the number on each of the front and rear frames, and the left and right frames. A: There are two D-rings for securing the bag, each 2000 mm long. Please secure all of them. Also, the bag will be secured with a cover when traveling.

Q: When connecting a Foolscarrier bar (such as a Thule square bar) to the linked aluminum bar of this product, is it limited to two points on the connecting fittings of the linked aluminum bar (60cm x 3 = 180cm)? Or can it be connected anywhere on the linked aluminum bar? A: It can be connected anywhere.
